Sharing a score

Private links that need no account, and how to withdraw one.

Share is in the score's menu in the sidebar. It creates a link that opens a read-only view of the score, with your display settings applied. Whoever has the link can open it; no account is needed.

What the link exposes

• The title, the notation and your display settings.
• Nothing else: not your name, not your email address, not the score's identifier.

The link contains 32 random bytes, so it cannot be guessed, and only a hash of it is stored. A copy of our database would not yield working share links.

Withdrawing a link

Deleting the score revokes every link to it. A shared page that has been revoked shows that the link is no longer valid rather than an error.
