Language and appearance

Switching between English and German, and between light and dark.

Language

Annotune is available in English and German. The language selector is in the footer, and your choice is remembered. The language is part of the address, /en/library and /de/library are the same page, so a link you send carries the language you were reading in.

The language also decides which version of an email you receive, and which wording is recorded with the withdrawal declaration you give at checkout.

Light and dark

The theme button offers light, dark, and following your system setting, which is the default. Your choice applies to every part of Annotune, including the documentation and the legal pages.

The score in dark mode

The sheet follows the theme: on a dark page, staves, noteheads and note names are drawn in a light neutral. A note-name colour you chose against a white page and that would be unreadable on a dark one is lightened for display only, your saved colour is untouched, and it is what light mode and every export use.

Exports are always a white page with black notation, whichever theme you are using. A PDF is for printing, and printing a dark page is not what anybody wants.
