Exporting
PDF, SVG and MusicXML, what each is for and what comes out.
Export is in the score toolbar. PDF and SVG open a dialog with a preview; MusicXML downloads straight away.
Which format
| Format | Best for | Contains |
|---|---|---|
| Printing and sharing a fixed copy | The score exactly as previewed, as vectors, it stays sharp at any size | |
| SVG | Editing in a drawing program, or embedding in a document | One file per page, or a ZIP when you export several |
| MusicXML | Opening in a notation program | The original document: no note names, because those are Annotune's presentation, not part of your score |
Choosing pages
The dialog offers all pages, the first page only, or one specific page. The preview shows what you have selected, at the zoom you set in the dialog, the export zoom is separate from the editor's, so you can proof-read at 150% and export at 100%.
Exports are always produced on a white page with black notation, in both light and dark mode. The preview in the dialog is white too, so what you see there is exactly the file you get.
Filenames
Exports are named after the score. Characters a filesystem cannot store are replaced with spaces. A single-page export adds the page number; a multi-page SVG export produces one ZIP containing one file per page.
